Add Additional Storage Blocks

You can expand the storage for your VPS KVM Linux server by purchasing additional Block Storage volumes. These volumes act as additional storage and can be attached to any VPS KVM Linux order under the customer account. They have an independent product life cycle and you can continue using the volume even after the expiry of your VPS KVM Linux order.

Follow the steps below to buy/add a storage volume on your VPS KVM Linux.

Step 1: Log in to your control panel. Learn how

Step 2: Navigate to the Order Information view.

Type the Domain Name of the VPS server order in the search field on the homepage, select Order from the drop-down and click on Search.Navigation in the Server Management Panel to View Order Information

Step 3: Add Volumes

  • Click on Manage Block Storage.

  • Click on Add New Volume.

  • Select the size of the volume and the duration you would like to purchase the volume for.

    Note

The expiry date of the volume will be independent of the VPS expiry. The volume will be active till the duration you select from the date of purchase.

  • Click Buy Volume and complete the payment.

Note

Once the payment is completed, the provisioning takes about 30 mins. To avoid any configuration hassles and to make a volume ready for use, we not only attach it but also automatically mount it on that server.

However, if you have custom configurations on your servers that prevent the volume from mounting automatically you may have to mount the volume manually on the server. Learn how.
